Playa Pavones is about 50 km (35 miles) south of Tamarindo, Playa Negros and close to Nosara, Samara and Garza. The rear of the property abuts a national forest and numerous National Parks surround the area. View maps and travel times... Nicoya is 35 km (20 miles) north of the property with supermarkets and major shops. In Samara, 7 km ( 4.5 miles) you can find friendly local restaurants, internet cafes, shops and a few clubs. In Carillo, 15 km ( 10 miles) there is a marina from which to dock your boat or charter a boat for fishing. Fishing charters are also available in Garza, which is located in the very next cove North of Playa Pavones. The permit process for this scale of development is quite protracted in Costa Rica, yet very thorough. Geologists, botanists, Biologists, anthropologists, engineers, surveyors, etc. have traversed the property resulting in appropriate studies for a myriad of agencies. We are pleased to report no negative findings and most permits are in place.
Of particular importance is I.C.E’s approval of our electrical and telecommunication engineering performed by Electrónica Industrial, the firm responsible for Four Season, Los Sueños and Hacienda Pinilla. Equally important is the successful installation of very productive deep water wells near lots 29 & 48 we are assured of more than adequate water supply for the entire project.
With approvals in place, we plan to begin installation of electric, fiber optic cable and water lines in December at a cost of over $4,000,000 US this will need to happen in stages, with Phase 1 accommodating Lots 1-29. As all utilities will be installed underground, there will be some disruption to our roads, and we ask for your understanding.
For those owners anxious to build, we can offer assistance by providing on site generators for construction. Our on site BackHoe is also available, with advance notice. All homes larger than 300M2 (3.230 SQ Ft) need to be approved in San Jose which our project engineer/architects can help you with. Exterior design plans are also required to be approved by the project developers previous to construction, so plan for appropriate lead time.
